The space
Once home to a horse named Orbit, this 19th-century Derbyshire stable has been transformed into a luxury hideaway with ultra-stylish interiors. Fully restored and extended to accommodate guests.There was an emphasis on using local architects, craftsmen, and materials to create a modern, rural edge.Natural furnishings combined with matt black and monochrome tones are used throughout.

Just through the sliding barn door you’ll find an immaculately monachrome wet room, with underfloor heating, heated towel rail, brushed brass heated light mirror, a modern wall suspended sink, and drawers for all your bit and bobs, rainfall shower is to invigorate the weariest of soul’s.
Up the painted wooden staircase, layed with alternative carpet, built in storage, baskets, and hanging space, there’s a dressing table, scandi mirror and chair.You’ll find the perfect place to relax, and settle down after exploring the countryside.Inviting, warm, cosy bedroom to snuggle up and relax, comfy double bed exposed original beam above, luxe bed linens and throws, both sides of the bed have exposed sloping ceilings that are low in areas, one side having two skylight windows which makes the best of natural light and, for an amazing view of the spectacular sunsets over the Dale.
Due to the age of the building, please be aware there are areas of the property with lower ceilings.

A hop in the car, less than 5 minutes drive from our door, is the popular market town of Bakewell, which offers an array of shops, pubs, tea rooms, and restaurants to suit all your wants and needs. Bakewell is also a great start to a variety of walking routes, with both trails and circular routes to follow – including the Monsal trail, on which the Hassop Station Café sits, and spectacular scenery can be found (check out the Monsal Viaduct!). Nearby villages, each with their own charm and beauty, are situated in either a short drive or walk away from Bakewell, and are definitely worth a trip to look around (I recommend Edensor, Ashford-in-the-Water, and Baslow).
Country houses are a feature of the Peak District that cannot be missed! Tudor manor house and set for no fewer than 30 films and programmes, Haddon Hall is a must-visit for those wanting to get in touch with history. Just 5 minutes down the road from Haddon Hall you will find the Chatsworth Estate, with its vast gardens, and a country house dripping in grandeur and history. Walks around the estate are perfect for all and make for a great social media post! The small villages situated on the estate have plenty to offer too, I recommend grabbing a pork-pie from Chatsworth Farm Shop in Pilsley, a cuppa from Edensor Tea Rooms, and pint from the renowned Devonshire Arms Beeley.
Further afield, Roman spa town Buxton. Known for its natural spa waters, you’ve probably had a drink of the famous Buxton water. There is lots to see and do for a day out here, whether you go for a stroll around the Pavilion Gardens, watch a play at the Opera House, or treat yourself to a luxury spa day at Buxton Crescent.
